We planted some dwarf irises in our stone garden last year and the first few have popped up in the last few days.

Now that the pond is no longer frozen, four mallards have arrived. The two couples are constantly fighting.

We have an unbelievable number of blue tits visiting our feeders at the moment.

In the early morning gloom, these two were looking very guilty at the end of our garden.

Although it is extremely cold overnight at the moment, the daytime temperatures are beginning to creep up.

Today, we saw our first few signs that things are starting to wake up.
