We've seen and heard a few wrens around the garden for the last week or so. They seem to like hopping around our pond. Presumably there are some nice small insects around the edge. These photos were taken through a window, so are a bit fuzzy.

This buzzard was sitting in a tree up on our meadow. We probably won't see any more buzzards until the winter is over.

It's been a very quiet time in and around the garden. Today I dredged a bit more slime out of the pond and found this dragonfly larva hidden inside. This looks like the same species that the kingfisher caught out of the pond back in September
