General Information

Pupates between spun leaves.

Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Flies during the day

Forewing length: 11-14mm.
Foodplant(s): willows (Salix spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Not endangered

Habitat

Damp woodland and boggy moorland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 1 (0.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Baden-W├╝rttemberg.
